Golem, Dirt
A relatively common sight in the fields of human territories, these large golems perform various labor intensive tasks. Considered vital for any decent sized farms, they have also been the subject of controversy. Should the common folk have access to massive creatures that only obey their master(s)?
Utility
Dirt golems are mostly used in outdoor labor intensive tasks, such a pulling plows, carts, moving rocks, etc. When it comes to highly valuable crops or in areas with poor soil, farmers will plant crops directly on the golems. This is because the golems can control he moisture content within their own bodies, and are better able to protect the plants from pests and thieves.
Manufacturing
Not just anyone can make a golem. while the body can be crafted by the farmer using dirt, a magic user is need to perform the spell to animate the golem.
Access & Availability
Dirt golems are a common sight on the farms of middle-class farmers. Poor farmers can rarely afford them, while richer farms tend to use sturdier clay or stone golems.
Complexity
They are one of the simplest golems to build but still require a relatively powerful spell to animate.
