Cults of Finality

Cults of Finality, the official title for the various doomsday cults found around Aneirys, are split into two notable groups; Active cults who directly work toward the end of the era, attempting to bring about an event known as @The Passing, and passive cults who believe that the end is inevitable and rather than working to expedite it, work to build facilities and bonds with neighbors to better survive the final judgement. Though worship of all kinds is generally welcome throughout Aneirys, active cults of finality are often groups of fanatics, extremists, and terrorists who are often responsible for mass sacrifices and the summoning of destructive forces - thus making them the exception to the rule.

Mythology & Lore

The mythology surrounding these cults is both simple and ingrained in all of Aneirys' societies - the "Final Age" is just that, the last age. It is believed, whether through denial or blind optimism, that when the final age comes to an end the world will be ushered into it's eternal form - a paradise wherein the planet itself shall remain eternal.
As such, these cults are dedicated to either bringing about the end of the world to accelerate the advance into eternity or gathering resources, people, and knowledge to better survive the end.
