Followers of Xanathos
The Followers of Xanathos are one of the Kingdom of Acarius ' rare "kill on sight" orders. This particular active sect believes that immortality in the population will directly expedite the death of the world around them.
Founded allegedly by a vampire, and named after him, the cult is infamous for their large-scale sacrifices and kidnapping operations; and are directly responsible for dozens of instances of demonic incursions and undead plagues throughout Aneirys. Though unknown as to how these cultists manage to conjure the forces they have at their disposal, the simple fact that they can and will destroy entire populations from within is grounds for their immediate destruction.

Structure
Followers of Xanathos, as the name implies, follow the teachings and orders of their leader - a believed vampire lord by the name of Xanathos . Though it is unknown how he speaks with his devout, it is very well documented that the level of mutation in his followers directly relates to their position within the bizarre religion's hierarchy. Those who sacrifice mortality are revered as the prophets of Xanathos, and lead small groups of followers toward their own immortality - often with dire consequences for the populations around them.
Culture
The members of the cult behave in a manner that they believe fitting of vampires and monsters - they work and live in the dark, shadowy corners of society; plotting and scheming the downfall of whichever poor settlement they've found themselves in.
Public Agenda
The public agenda of Xanathos' followers seems to be to lead as many as possible along the path of immortality - willing or unwilling. The transformations take many forms, from deals with demons and devils to vampirism or lycanthropy. The most common transformation is simply the creation of the undead.
Mythology & Lore
Xanathos was born long before available recorded history - allegedly some time in the fourth era. His followers, unwavering in the faith they place in the stories and teachings of their dark lord, tell the fable of a noble man cursed with a responsibility to see those around him gifted with a life beyond age, shunned and belittled for the wonderful powers he bestows upon his followers. This tale of heroic generosity is often enough to entice those with more fragile mentalities to seek more information, thus expanding the cult's ranks.

Though unknown at which level of transformation a follower must posses before becoming chosen by Xanathos , it is widely known by those who have researched the cult that the more mutated and changed that a member becomes, the more likely they are to be given power over other members.
