Seagate

Seagate is the only known settlement in the Kingdom of Acarius designed specifically for her ports. Other towns, such as Mistwood or Vicarion, all began as some sort of outpost or checkpoint, and evolved to be known for their ports. This is not the case for Seagate, which was founded and is currently (and quite proudly) based on it's fishing economy. Further south from Mistwood, and having many more vessels - and room for the vessels - than Vicarion.

Demographics

Fishermen, Sailors, Transporters and Shipwrights - Seagate's name perfectly describes what the town was built on. As a gateway, the gateway, to the sea in the Kingdom, it's population is a mixture of adaptable races, aquatic races, and races with a knack for hard labor.

Government

Seagate routes all but the basest of governmental issues to Selthame, it's larger cousin to the south east. All of the kingdom-specific council work is dealt with by the Governor of Selthame.

Industry & Trade

Fishing, fisheries, and privately chartered shipping are the primary industries of Seagate. Though they officially do not hold any government contracts, they take on a large portion of Selthame's fish deliveries in exchange for Selthame allowing part of the grants they'd received to deal with Seagate's taxation.
