The Northwood

This aptly named forest stands at the northern border of the Kingdom of Acarius , serving as a transition between the temperate climate of the Kingdom's territory and the frozen wastes of the north. Though rare, in the harshest recorded winters, some of the sparsely populated fauna of the tundra to the north will migrate south into the northwood for shelter - often to the dismay of the various loggers who work the woods.
