Session 1: A Fresh Start; New Friends
General Summary
We start in the large mining town of Hafr; early in the morning, the Stålhjerte brothers, Dirk Stålhjerte and Derrik Stålhjerte, awake in The Unkind Dog, one of the inns located in the town. As the brothers prepare for the day, a knock is heard at the door. The guests at the door are two Peacekeepers and Gravel, an earth Genasi and advisor to Pimzric Bronzeheart. Gravel informs the brothers that Lord Bronzeheart has a job they would like to offer them and that they should make their way to the Hold at noon. During this time, two other individuals sleep in an alley outside the brothers' room. The individuals in the alley are Grabble Grasp and Volcun. These two overhear the conversation between the brothers and Gravel and realize that the brothers and themselves have a common interest. They introduce themselves and decide to work together on the job.
After the brothers finish getting dressed, they go downstairs and notice two strange individuals standing by a job board, looking somewhat desperate. These two individuals are Orion Blackburn and Ba'sheh Torn'sias. After noticing the intricate armor worn by Ba'sheh, Derrick decides to introduce himself while Dirk retrieves breakfast. After meeting, having breakfast, and getting to know each other, the brothers go to the Hold and learn of the details of the job. After some time standing around and small talk with Gravel, the brothers are introduced to Pimzric Bronzeheart, an elderly red Dragonborn. Pimzric explained that they were to retrieve the adamantine greatsword of Citheus, a fire giant who died hundreds of years ago. They are to reforge the blade into a decorative longsword to serve as a Bronzeheart family heirloom. The brothers accepted the job with the price of 500 GP and were allowed to keep any remaining adamantine they could recover. The brothers accepted the job and were given a map to the Tomb of Citheus.
After some time, when the party reconvened, they left the inn to find the tomb. They came across a small pack of owlbears on their way, which they successfully scared off. Eventually reaching the Tomb of Citheus, they discovered that it was being occupied by a group of bandits called the Hill Tribe of the North. The bandits turned out to be aggressive and fought the party, to which the party swiftly defeated them.
