First War

The First War was a conflict between the Tribe of Atlas and Caeledonia. An's power over the Artificial World had begun declining as a result of the ever-increasing Atlantean population and the loss of more and more mortal worshippers as even those outside Atlantis lost faith in An. The issue came to a head when Atlas created Thonic, allowing Atlanteans to recruit outsiders much more effectively. 
In response, Caeledonia began visiting the capitols of the various proto-nations and tribes of the time, demanding fealty from the leaders and people of each, and visiting "plagues" upon any who resisted. Some peoples were erased outright when they refused to bow to An, still others suffered great losses as An-El slaughtered every first-born child, burned villages, unleashed swarms of insects on crops, and other acts of aggression and intimidation. By the last days of the war, only Atlantis stood against Caeledonia, and only Pacifica remained neutral, with all other mortals being wiped out or subjugated.
In a desparate bid for survival, the Titans joined forces with Atlantis to perform The Sealing a ritual intended to seal An within his personal demiplane, the Apotheosium. The ritual was far more taxing than expected however, severely weakening The Two and causing the Titans to become Petrified.
