The Burren
This is a wide ravine of wasteland running east to west between St. Sebastian and Cádiz. A twisted landscape of rugged hills, mesas, and labyrinthine canyons, it is over two hundred miles east to west and thirty miles across.
Geography
An area of arid waste with scattered areas of verdure. The twisted nature of its canyons provided excellent cover and places to hide out for those who embrace the deathly beauty of the area.
On the north edge at the eastern portion is the Verdon Gorge. A famous battle site between the remnants of Kunger's army and the forces of Garron's Overlook and Fort Mothar.
The area was created by the elemental mage Abi-Dalzim when he cast a withering spell upon the forces of Kunger, led by Ambrose Rhigaerd, during the second year of the Hellscream War (1520 CY, 2 AH).
Fauna & Flora
There are areas of traditional greenery and tanks of water, but most of the area is barren and covered with cactus, sage, scrub, and short twisted trees. Most life forms are thorny, poisonous, or both.
