Kijolago - Night Elves

Known in Antigua as the Night Elves, they live further inland of their cousins the Kanilago - Sea Elves and protect the forest and borders of the Kawalago giant elves. Kijolago are extremely adapted to climbing the huge trees of and living and hunting among the dark canopies of the Ilyamir forest. They usually live and hunt at night, when their darkvision is of advantage.   Kijolago's skin tends to be dark shades with traces of green. Their hair tends toward browns and blacks, but it is occasionally green or silver. Their eyes are green, brown, or hazel, and "eyeshine" like many night predators.   While not as friendly as their cousins the Kanilago - Sea Elves , the Kijolago still trade with other races for essential goods that cannot be found deeper inland. They rather send trading parties, than welcome any stranger to their communities. The mythic living ships are constructed deep in land, in secret communities of Kijolago.

Ability Score Increase

Size

Kijolago are around 6 to 7 feet tall, and weight between 190 and 230 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 35 feet, and you have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.

Darkvision

Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Mask of the Wild

You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.

Keen Senses

You have proficiency in the Perception and Survival skills.

Fey Ancestry

You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.

Trance

Elves don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
