Sigou
Sigou is a continent in the southeastern hemisphere of Aphirion, marked by its vast, canyon-scarred deserts and lush coastlines, separated by ancient mountain ranges. Renowned for its diverse cultures and rich traditions, the people of Sigou uphold honor and duty as core values.
The land is saturated with mystic energy, fueling both conflict and prosperity. In the west, the scattered horse clans of the Black Steppe vie for control over the coveted Langchang Plateau, while the crones of Vis Rhelasos stand watch from the high plains, observing the land below. The old kingdoms crumble as new powers rise. The Holy Eltoa Order has driven the States of Maborra and Ulechat into the sea, while Longxi and Tanzya warily eye the growing strength of the Fel Authority. The latter seems content to bide its time, watching as the bloated bureaucracies of these storied kingdoms begin to show cracks beneath their own weight.
In the Zeshi Canyon, tribes of desert-dwelling nomads now find themselves in competition with refugees fleeing the turmoil of the west. Here, the Priests of the Lohara Theocracy extend their arms to all who seek refuge, hoping to hold back the tide of disruption threatening to overwhelm the region.
Beyond the Zeshi Canyon lies the Xiangou Empire, a formidable power that rose from the ashes of the old Kingdom of Xi in the Red Mountains. Controlling the land passage to western Sigou, the Xiangou Empire now turns its gaze toward the Grand Duchy of Song, eager to bring it under their banner.
In the east, the ancient kingdom of Zhongguo maintains its policy of isolation, choosing to remain aloof from the growing tensions around them. To the northeast, the kingdoms of Goryeo, Cheongseong, and Gyeonggi, once united under a single crown, stand divided after the War of the 20 Princes. Goryeo has grown in strength since the split, but Gyeonggi's new ruler has recently shown great promise after successfully overthrowing the Dowager Queen and her eunuchs, ending their attempts to control him as a puppet.
Farther southeast, the Hinomoto Shogunate seeks to restore order and reunite the divided daimyo, a task left unfinished for over 250 years since the dissolution of the previous shogunate.
