The Gods of Aphirion: Aphiric Creation Myth

In the boundless expanse of Aphirion, reality shimmers like threads in a cosmic loom, slumbered countless sparks of essence. These sparks, harboring the potential for life, dreamt dreams that resonated through the void, shaping the very fabric of creation.   From these dreams coalesced the Planes – vibrant expressions of nascent concepts. One spark, yearning for solidity, dreamt of earth, birthing the Plane of Stone. Another, drawn to the dance of energy, dreamt of swirling storms, forming the Plane of Tempest. More and more these spirits dreamt countless dreams, creating new planes. Each plane echoed with its own unique essence, yet remained separate, islands within the vast tapestry of Aphirion.   Then, a spark of pure connection awoke. This spark, unlike the others, dreamt not of its own domain, but of bridges between them. It weaved threads of starlight and whispered promises of unity, forging connections that merged the planes into a cohesive whole. As the planes intertwined, their essences mingled, giving rise to new sparks - sparks imbued with the combined nature of multiple realms. These were the first gods, awakened by the symphony of creation.   Filled with wonder and purpose, the gods set about shaping the tapestry further. They sculpted mountains from the Plane of Stone, breathed life into the echoes of the Plane of Tempest, and sowed the seeds of magic across the newly formed Material Plane. Each god, embodying a specific facet of creation, molded the world in their own image, bringing forth diverse races of beings - humans, dwarves, elves, dragonborn - each carrying within them the essence of their divine creators.   However, whispers of shadows reached the gods from beyond the boundaries of Aphirion. Primordial beings, embodiments of chaos and destruction, sought to unravel the fragile tapestry of creation. A great battle ensued, gods clashing with primordial forces, dragons soaring alongside celestial hosts. The Dawnbringer, a beacon of hope and unity, rallied the gods and their allies, pushing back the darkness alongside the mighty Dragon God Bahamut.   Yet, victory came at a heavy cost. Countless creations perished in the conflict, the land scarred by the clash of divine power. Recognizing the devastating potential of their presence, the gods made a solemn pact. With the Seal of Exodus forged, they bound themselves to their respective planes, forever barring their physical return to Aphirion.   Thus began the Age of Gods, a time of divine guidance and watchful care. But this era was not destined to last. Driven by curiosity or ambition, some gods strayed beyond the boundaries of the pact, their interventions sowing seeds of discord among the mortals. Recognizing the folly of further interference, the gods retreated fully, leaving the Seal in the hands of their creations, marking the end of the Age of Gods and the dawn of a new era - the Old Age of the Kingdoms of Aphirion.   Now, mortals stand alone, inheritors of a world shaped by dreams and conflict. The echoes of the gods and the primordial battle linger, shaping their cultures, histories, and destinies. The Seal of Exodus stands as a reminder of the power and responsibility they now hold, entrusted with the fate of their world in the absence of their creators.
