Brightstone Industries Headquarters

This building is located on the island of Skylandia in the capitol of Skylandia. It is one the edge of the trade district near the city center. It’s one of the tallest buildings in the area. Nearby is the Mechanist Guildhall which the company founded. The building is a beautiful specimen of stonemasonry craftsmanship. The upper floor is also transparent to allow for stargazing. Jungen, Dieter’s son lives on the top floor, and astronomy is his favorite hobby. Jungen founded the company after his father's death, and in his honor enshrined the location of his old workshop on the ground floor. It is kept mostly how he left it, but also is still in use, only the workbench is sectioned off.

Purpose / Function

This building is the headquarters of Brightstone Industries, its also their first laboratory and manufacturing plant. The owner lives on the top floor.

Architecture

This building uses various stones and styles in its construction. Some of the types used were serpentine orichulum, limestone, marble, sodalite, quartzite, and pyrite. This mixture of building materials makes the tower radiate a glittering rainbow in the sun. The architecture is a combination of Byzantine, Gothic, and Sylvan building styles; it actually melds well with each other. The building has many little known characteristics:

• such as the sweet spot in the auditorium where anyone standing there can be heard clearly throughout the room.
• There are few stairs as Jurgen preferred textured ramps (a few elevators are hidden as well).
• Pocket doors are built into the walls that slide inside instead of opening out.
• Glowstones are set throughout the floors, walls, and ceilings to provide a gentle glow, instead of harsh concentrated light.
