Captain
A Captain is the 2nd rank in the Armed Forces, with only a Lieutenant. The Captain was usually a Lord and his retinue, or rarely a prominent Knight.
He commanded between 20 and 200 soldiers, usually with the assistance of 1-2 lieutenants, and 2-4 sergeants. The Captain was in charge of two or more platoons, each encompassing 2-4 squads. The Lieutenants were in charge of the platoons, while the Sergeants were in charge of the squads.
In naval service, a Captain is in charge of a ship. In aerial service, they are in charge of a wing.
