Danu, Goddess of the Sea

Goddess, mother, sister Danu (a.k.a. Dan, Dani)

Danu started off as a goddess of flowing water, usually on land. Flowing rivers, streams, lakes, fertility, and creation. After the Chaos Wars, when the doorways from the Plane of Water opened, that all changed. Her previous shrines and protected waters were soon engulfed by the sea. Many doorways opened there and some are still open, the tides are moving constantly too.

She joined with a few other water, creation, and fertility goddesses and decided to merge to become a trinity/greater goddess. They can now take turns and vacations. It's better for all. Since these goddesses joined, so did their churches, a few others now fall under their umbrella and are considered a family/pantheon. Their previews often intermingle virtually seamlessly into a coherent whole.

Like nature Danu represents both the positive and negative attributes of water.

Whatever form she is currently in, she has a feature of some type of water dwelling creature. Fins, scales, color, etc.

Personal history

No one alive knows her history before she became a Greater Goddess. She started out as a goddess of flowing water on land, before the Chaos Wars. Her name then was Danusova, she was more of a elemental fae in her early days. She protected certain springs that were near minute gateways to the Faewild. The energy leaked through but not water.
