Giant Crossbow of Harmony

Danlan Truevale is a military engineer who developed the plans for this crew-serve weapon to help in their troubles with invaders. It is a large weapon that is mounted on a tripod, and used in the The Sunspears military unit. 

This is a variation of the Carroballista which is a cart-mounted ballista, a mobile field artillery. Each squad has 1-4 of these weapons, with 1-3 soldiers to move, aim, fire, and reload it. He improved it by adding a large wheel crank that can be operated by 2 halflings, which allows it to be cocked with one action instead of a full-round action.

This crossbow has the Harmony magical quality. It imbues its ammunition with the quality, badges can also be paired with it. Items that have been imbued are recognized as friendly. The badge emits a subtle magical signal that the crossbow recognizes as friendly.  Anyone wearing a badge are not affected by any ammunition fired by the crossbow, it will pass harmlessly through them. Friendly fire is impossible if the badge is worn.

Each crossbow can pair with a barrel worth of bolts, and 12 badges. If the crossbow is destroyed, everything paired with it lose the harmony quality as well.
