Gravity Sled

Found in warehouses in all major cities, this utility vehicle is a staple of cargo movement. It was created to transport cargo quicker, and more easily than wheeled contrivances. It is slow but steady and can carry tons of cargo depending on its size. It is steered by an operator or programmed to carry it to specific locations by a beacon, magnetic rail, or GPS.

They typically float 1-2 ft above a variety of surfaces most are made to travel over flat surfaces, but some can over rough ones. The sled is meant to carry pallets, crates, and other cargo. Most sleds are either ridden or rarely pushed, It is only a bed, a small lip so items don't slide off, with controls and propulsion devices arranged along the bottom. A very simple device with little extra additions, to cut down on its weight and allow for more cargo.

This is a basic platform, with plenty of room for alterations and improvements. It is often used as the base to build another vehicle on top of. Then an engine, a body, and anything else needed are added. This is a popular way to customize and personalize vehicles for those that want them.
