Gravity Board
This is an aerial surfboard powered by Gravity Stones and a Skystones. A control cable is strapped to your wrist, your boots are fastened in and you lean for steering. A gravity board is Tom Swifts innovation to put a small sky stone repulsor engine with attitude nozzles to control lift and forward motion. They have been nicknamed “sky slicers”.
Tom Swift used the gravity sled as a base, added a skystone engine, kept the gravity stones but added more to increase their effectiveness, and sometimes even adds sails, wings, aileron fins, etc. Some early iterations were propelled by dragonfly-like “flitter” wings, and steering by the pilot leaning in the direction they wants to travel.
They are very customizable vehicles and are commonly personalized. They are very safe, but the safeties can be turned off or removed. As is often done by speed junkies, as this is one of their favorite vehicles.

Sounds like fun, if a bit dangerous. It isn't clear what the skystones are or do, though I read the reference. I'd guess they're an antigravity device?
