Moonsong

The Moonsong is a ritual, that many tribal people throughout Aquatica participate in.

Participants

It is overseen by the tribes' shaman, or singer and helps cement the tribes’ relationships with each other. He guides this ritual with drumming, singing, and drinking moonberry juice.

Observance

The Moonsong commemorates special events such as birth, death, marriage, etc. Also called the Howl because it is often celebrated on the full moon. It is also a time to discuss important things, remember the past, and divine the future. There are various types of howls, they can be for a single person, a family, or the whole tribe.

Some even believe that during the howl, they touch the spirit of Aquatica herself. This is the shamans' purview, so it is not talked of except among themselves.
