Owlboar
The owlboar is a magical aberration, created by Malachi Eldrin. He was employed by the Atlanteans to create shock troops and anything else that could cause chaos on the battlefield. The only problem with this animal is that its behavior is too unpredictable so it will attack both sides.
Basic Information
Anatomy
A combination of fur and feathers, it is a bizarre half-boar, half-owl monstrosity that raises its large, strigine paws raised in anger.

Some owlboars use a hawk or eagle instead of an owl for its bird component.
Genetics and Reproduction
This creature was created, depending on the creator's wishes, it either couldn't breed at all, only with its own kind (owlboar), with only a boar, or only with Malachi's help.

Owlboars prefer to live in temperate forested mountains, but can live in almost any temperate terrain.

They are omnivores, but prefer meat, their favorite food are carnivores.
Behaviour
Owlboards have a personality like a wolverine. They have bad tempers, are easily angered, aggressive, are shortsighted, unpredictable, can hold grudges, are crafty, and will fight to the death.

Social Structure
The males are solitary animals only meeting females in mating season, although some hang out together for small periods. Subadult males leave the female group when they become adolescents, while the females stay with the female group. Subadult males may live in loosely knit groups, while adult and elderly males are solitary outside the breeding season. Females and young are social animals that herd together in matriarchal groups.
Domestication
These aberrations are too unpredictable for domestication. They can receive limited training, similar to a war dog.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
They can be eaten, but it doesn't taste good. The hides are hard to work with, but the feathers can be used for quills.
