Karak Karaz Ankor

The Karaz Ankor (Dwarvish for "The Everlasting Realm" or "The Mountain Realm" as the Dwarf word for mountain and extreme durability are the same) is the name for the entire realm comprised of subterranean Dwarf holds located in the Enchanted Bluff that the Dwarves have inhabited since the earliest days of their recorded history. This Karak is the largest of the known three that still exist in the Ianatis Moutain ranges. This hold is what made the dwarves known as Miners, having the oldest and deepest running mines. There have been some reports from miners in sister Karak's that they've have discovered ancient Karaz Ankor tunnels beneath their own mountains.
The Dwarves of Karaz Ankor rule themselves independently from the other Karak's, making Dwarven Karak's much like city states. Karaz Ankor is ruled via a council, each important aspect of Dwarven society elects a leader to represent them upon the Council where issues are voted upon. Though Dwarven debates can go on for quite some time, it has proven quite efficient in the past depending upon the litigation from Head of Council.
