Kingdom of Filran Alora

Similar to their Dwarven nemesis, the Elven Kingdom of Filran Alora is more of a City State than a Country in of itself. However this grand City is so large that is has the Capacity of a Country. This City is the last bastion of the dying out race of High Elves, whose lands have slowly been tainted and conquered by the maleficent god Auril, god of winter. However don't let these last members of a dying race fool you, they are still one of the most powerful forces upon the face of Aquorra. Though the Tundra's of Bafune are quite desolate, small villages and towns of found themselves cropping up around Filran Alora as their Human neighbors down South have been expanding Northward. Tensions are quite high between the two groups, but for now things have remained peaceful.
Filran Alora does not do much trade with other Kingdoms as they are quite the isolationist's, so many of their basic necessities are created within their own borders. Though of course from the natural resources available to them, they can't create everything they need and it was from this desperation that the magical school of Alchemy became a specialty art of the High Elves. This provides them with the materials they otherwise wouldn't be able to produce themselves and upkeeps their strong self sufficiency. The art of Alchemy as a result is a very closely guarded secret, and those who train in the art are held in very high esteem in Elven society.  
The Elven hierarchy is a sudo-republic, where they vote forward representatives from the variety of City Districts that exist within Filran Alora. Usually this Council consists of Eight individual's representing the wide variety of Political parties the Elves have.
