Apollo
A black panther, orginally from Coatl, who travels with the Thanes of Order and is the beast companion of Lavanel Daenorin

Personal history
Apollo was caught as a cub when his mother was shot and her cubs stolen by poachers to sell across the Coatl black market. He was bought and sold many times by various criminals and nefarious folk, he travelled the trade routes through Alagria, across the north of Milagon where he was bought by a travelling circus run by a group of misfit bards. The circus was travelling through Ebrion performing shows at various towns and settlements for gold coin. Whilst they were travelling through the Andredsweald en route to Kelador their travelling party was ambushed by Giant spiders. After the attack, little was left of the circus, this is how Apollo was found by the Thanes of Order. Lavanel Daenorin freed him from his travelling cage, as Apollo had never been without human company, he continued to follow Lavanel, who was more than happy for the company after losing her own family since her banishment from Daenor. Apollo had an instant connection with the Elven Ranger and has bonded to her. He has since been travelling with the Thanes to help in restoring the balance of Ara. He has given his life more than once in protection of his master and her friends, however due to the bond that he shares with his beastmaster, she is able to recall him from the afterlife, to her side, to fight another day. He knows that his purpose is to assist the Thanes of Order in their mission to restore the elemental balance, and he is happy to continue this pursuit until it is complete, as long as there are enough belly rubs in it for him.
