Gaelin
Gaelin was second in command of the Guard of Daenor.
He and Lavanel trained together for many years, despite him being older than her, she was promoted to Corra above him. He never resented this as he knew this was the best decision for Daenor.
He and his family have been residents of Daenor for many years. Their family is loyal to the Royal family and Gaelin has been a friend and confidant to Lavanel for as long as he can remember.
It was at one point suggested that he and Lavanel would be married, but those were rumors spread by gossiping children. Although Gaelin cared deeply for Lavanel, he never pursued a romantic relationship with her as he felt a sense of duty to the family which could potentially be impaired by a relationship with Lavanel.
