Mercato Centrale and La Soffitta
A large two storey building surrounded by columns. The first floor is dedicated to market stalls selling fresh foodstuffs and clothing, as well as rich spices and foreign goods. A handful of Alagrian and Mitzui merchants operate here.
On the second floor is La Soffitta, a sprawling tavern which overlooks the market like a balcony. Comfortable rooms line the perimeter of three quarters of the floor, with a bar and stage area in the fourth. Alejandro ‘Jandro’ Bottenato – human proprietor of the Loft (La Soffitta).
The Mercato forms a meeting point for many travellers and as such it is surrounded by coach stations and stables.
