Faery Paragon (a.k.a. Aeris)

The ominous paragon of the faeries, Aeris, lives in the northeast of the Wilderness, close to the mountain range that surrounds Sithaline City. His residence is the abandoned white marble manor which was once inhabited by the now extinct faery folk. In the far back of the manor, several meters down, lies a magically charged faery pond that had once been the core of their largest settlement. Known for their skills in healing and flying, the faery folk's pond has extraordinary healing properties. Some even go as far as claiming that it could extend one's life span significantly if they're allowed to swim in it. Aeris is most commonly seen sitting casually on a wide set throne of green, golden and copper leaves overlooking the pond. He administrates visits to the faery pond and takes care of illnesses, wounds and other conditions that harm his clients. Apart from his knowledge about the faery pond's magical waters, he is a talented healer and mage himself who is eager to learn more.
Even though some of his clients state that he is a rather theatrical and flamboyant fellow, those that know him a bit closer are aware that he is hiding from something. He rarely leaves the manor, sometimes not even the pond and keeps to himself. He only has a few friends and those, that he has chosen, know that he is quite lonely.

Some of the halfelves living in the former faery village have seen him wandering about, wearing a dark blue cloak, his hair up and back, pulling his hood deep into his face to prevent others from recognising him. Especially during festivals, he sometimes forgets his cover, watching the events unfold with shimmering eyes; full of hope that he might someday join them. As soon as someone sees him and tries to talk to him, he vanishes from sight, making the witness wonder whether they had seen him at all.

Apparel & Accessories

Aeris is often seen wearing a golden tiara with an emerald on his forehead, green robes with golden accents and a necklace with a pendant resting on his chest. On his back is a pair of shiny, shimmering wings that break the light surrounding them into rainbow coloured spots.

Aeris is generally friendly and warm towards anyone that visits him in his unusual home, but it's unsure whether he has a romantic or sexual preference. Nobody has ever seen him dating someone. Still, some of those who know the Faery Paragon for a while claim that he treats his male or male presenting clients with more tenderness and care than female presenting ones.

Education

In the faery folk village, it's common knowledge that Aeris is the youngest person with the highest education in the entire settlement. He has information on pretty much everything and knows Sithaline City like himself. Wanderers are often encouraged to talk to him if they lost their way. He knows how to construct magical compasses that help travellers and tourists out of the Wilderness whenever they want to go home. Apart from his knowledge in basic tinkering and healing, he is an adapt fighter with spears and staffs and once defended the settlement against a group of bandits terrorizing his neighbours.

Hygiene

Being clean and groomed at all times is one of Aeris's highest virtues. He takes a lot of pride in the fact that he is always ready for his next client and makes sure to have a pleasant smell that underlines his unique role in the Wilderness. His hair is usually behind his back to not fall into the waters of the pond or be in the way when he is dealing with wounds, exposing his pointy ears whenever he is concentrating on something.

Speech

The Faery Paragon's voice is a warm, slightly higher pitched masculine voice with a Sithalin touch in his speech. When he talks during his interactions at the pond, his words seem to be dancing, using a subtle melody to engulf visitors in the magic that'll soon heal and help them. In fights or during casual interactions, his rhythm is quicker, his melody drenched with sarcasm. Only when he's serious, his voice becomes dark and menacing, yet still manages to emphasize how young at heart he still is. Children and long-time visitors reported that he has a beautiful singing voice and loves to share his songs with those who'd like to listen. It's a rare, but soothing, privilege.
