Ọ̀sanyìn (Oh-san-yin)

Overview

He lives in the forest and looks after all those terribly useful plants. Well, someone has to do it. Whether it’s medicine or curry, Ọ̀sanyìn can supply the appropriate leaf from his magnificent herb garden. He watches over healers and doctors, showing them the recipes for certain medicines, or teaching them to correct way to set a bone. Ọ̀sanyìn is the one-eyed, one-armed, one-legged orisa of healing herbs, plants, medicine, and stories.
