Braismois

Overview

Braismois is the daemonic harbinger of broken deals, fine print, and unfair bargains. He preys upon those unable to grasp his contracts and those who think themselves intelligent enough to outwit him, and frequently signs deals beneficial to him across the Material Plane. Braismois is currently working for Tammuz the Abgal to fulfil an ongoing contract with the Horseman.   Braismois's devotees revel in dark gatherings where they make vague promises and oral commitments, leaving details ambiguous to ensure the possibility of treachery. Their shrines are dimly lit places filled with whispered secrets and half-truths. Termed Shadowbrokers, these clerics are adept at striking deals in Braismois's name. Masters of double entendre and insinuation, they weave uncertainty and doubt into every agreement. One tale speaks of a king who sought Braismois's favor for victory in battle. Braismois promised him a "great end" to his war. The king triumphed, only to be betrayed and killed by his closest allies, thus ensuring a memorable "end." Braismois detests devils and other lawful entities that bind themselves with rigid contracts. He aligns with entities that embrace ambiguity and unpredictability.
