Nalmungder

Overview

Nalmungder, sometimes called the Boogeyman, lives deep in the dark beneath the other realms of The Silent Lands. Nalmungder is a malevolent being, shrouded in darkness and born from the darkest corners of human imagination. Those who believe they are protected, shielded from harm, unknowingly fall prey to his snares. Nalmungder delights in lulling mortals into a deceptive calm before revealing the true horrors that lurk beneath the façade of safety they had convinced themselves of. Dreams of invulnerability and impenetrable defenses crumble under his influence, leaving behind shattered illusions and shattered souls. His legend is far and wide known, and unknown to most, a large amount of his power comes from the fear he brings children, as they are often taught to fear "The Boogeyman". He is the Harbinger of basements, closets, and delusions of safety.
