Shadowcat

Overview

Shadowcats resemble lithe felines, similar in build to panthers or leopards. Their fur, when visible, is a deep, shimmering black with starlike patterns that appear to shift and move like constellations in the night sky. Shadowcats are carnivorous, hunting smaller creatures, though they are also known to take down larger prey when hunting in packs. They are primarily nocturnal, taking advantage of the cover of darkness to further aid their stealth. Despite their prowess in stealth, Shadowcats are not invulnerable. Strong magical detections, acute senses of some creatures, and certain light-based spells can reveal them. Furthermore, when in brightly lit environments with little to no shadows, their powers are considerably reduced.

Meta Info and Abilities

The most distinct power that Shadowcats hold is the power to bend light around them. Although this powerful skill makes them invisble at will, it can only be activated in dim light to darkness, and is deactivated by sunlight or spells above 2nd level that create bright light. This light bending skill also gives them the ability to activate a blur-like ability once per day if invisiblity isn't possible. For stats, they would like have the same stats as a Leopard, but with aformentioned spell like abilities. Their invisbility, when activated, lasts until dispelled or the cat isn't hunting, however the blur-like power only lasts a minute.
