Umberlee (Um-ber-lee)
Overview
Said to have been created when the parent gods first lived on Aralla, although the specifics of her creation are unknown. Malicious, mean, and evil, Umberlee is the terror of sailors and coastal dwellers across the world. She breaks agreements on a whim and takes great pleasure in watching others die by drowning or in the jaws of sea predators. Vain and desirous of flattery, she is excessively greedy for power and revels in exercising it. Weresharks are her creations, and theirs is one of the few races that worship her out of admiration rather than fear.Portfolio and Responsibilities
She is a goddess whose portfolio includes oceans, currents, waves, sea winds, and sea creatures. Like the church of Teseyr the church of Umberlee is almost universally despised and propitiated only out of fear. Nevertheless, nearly every sailor makes an offering to the Bitch Queen before heading into her domain and Umberleean clerics can walk unmolested in dockside wards in most ports. They are even welcomed aboard most ships, in hopes that their presence will help appease the goddess.Divine Domains

Anathema - Allow boats to pass without payment to Umberlee. Allow a service to be done in her name without payment.
Holidays
First Tide
This holy day was celebrated when the ice broke up in a harbor. It consisted of a flute and drums parade through town with a caged animal, which was tied to a rock and then thrown into the sea. If it survived, it was magically healed and treated as a sacred animal with the rank of an Umberlant. This was an ancient custom with its roots in the days of old when Umberlee selected her clergy from among the human sacrifices drowned in the same manner as the animals of the First Tide.

Physical Description
Body Features
Umberlee is always depicted as a female blue-green torso garbed in shells and a mauve cape made from jellyfish rising out of the waves from taloned hands, elbow fins, eyes of pale pearly death, and hair of kelp.
