You find Uralay's house down a lonely path in the far northern end of town. One side of the path is the edge of a mostly empty lumber stockyard, the dark red stacks of wood can be seen only in the far distance, near the main warehouse. A ragged copse of trees stands on one side of Urulay's two-story home, while a smaller home rests on its other side, which also looks abandoned.   The doors and windows are boarded up with thick planks of wood with long metal plates running vertically on either side. The plates have a series of symbols on them--precautions placed on the home after a pair of squatters apparently suffered strange nightmares when they slept there. These same precautions seemed to have foiled the goblins' attempts to gain entry into the home.   There is a smell of ozone around the door. Ozone and perhaps the faint scent of burnt flesh. You use the command gestures Exult Priest Dunben gave at Judge Marta's request, and the plates, along with the boards, fall away to reveal a dilapidated and ransacked looking landing room. A pair of ragged mats sit in the middle of the floor amidst an array of upturned furniture and scattered debris. There is a kitchen with a disty cooking pot, a pantry with a small collection of moldy food, and a loft with a bare bed frame and a number of collapsed bookshelves.   Dunben had doubted the utility of searching the house, as he and several apprentices had already gone through and taken any tek they could find. Though he does admit, with the strange occurrence over the past few months of cyphers just "appearing" in and around the town, it's quite possible there are new things to find there…   While a thorough search of the loft finds no cyphers, you do find what looks like a torn page of a journal, caught in the crack of a stuck drawer. The handwriting is sharp and compact and is also nonsensical. As best as you can figure, it's written in some kind of code.   You find a stone staircase going to a basement, where you find a large metal washbasin and several barrels that, to the best of your knowledge, look to contain brinish-smelling, but otherwise normal-looking water. There is something stranger, however. In the corner there looks to have been some sort of mishap, an array of tek dross is scattered around, along with a sizeable blackened hole that looks to have been burned through the wall and floor, revealing a second stairwell going down to a second basement. Father Dunben did not note either this damage or the second stairwell in his cataloging of the house.   In this second basement, however, you make some startling findings. Several corpses are lined against the wall, preserved with some kind of chemical similarly smelling to the barrels above. Three looks to have perished recently, but eight others look much, much older. There is a stone operating table at the center of this second basement, stained red and black and covered in a number of surgical and magical tools. Tek components are scattered about the room, and what looks like two cyphers sit in the middle of the floor. One is a solid black sphere that is cool to the touch and the other is an injector with a glowing blue liquid.     The far wall, unlike the stone that makes up the rest of the room, looks to be made of some kind of silvery metal and has a large, heavy door set into it. There is a small, circular window on the door, through which you can see a small chamber inside, in which a strange decaying form lays upon the ground. The rotten corpse looks to have disparate pieces of tek grafted onto its form, a large bulbous growth off its neck with a series of diodes that blink through its putrid, distended skin, and another set of blocky machinery that has been inserted up its right arm. The face and upper skull of the body look to have mostly decayed away, looking to have dissolved into black putrescence pooling around the neck.   The last thing of interest is another page, splotched with the black ichor-like substance. Just like the page above, it looks to be written in some kind of code.
