Aenry Kelia
Born to a human mother who died in childbirth, Aenry was raised by his elven father, a veteran of the Voidgate War who had been granted notable parcels of land in the Eastmare Provine by the newly appointed Duchess Elia'lean, an elven veteran herself. Aenry was raised in considerable luxury, but had difficulty relating to his father, who centuries on was still coming to grips with his new existence in exile from the Novagleam Empire. His father was not unkind, but like many elves of the first generation what it meant to have a family or be a parent. As a result, Aenry grew into a well educated adult who was emotionally distant and reserved.
Aenry would ultimately take his father's advice and move to the fledgling town of Caracara to help serve as a governing representative of the Duchess there. While his lack of affability caused him difficulties at times, he was able to bring forth a number of innovations to the outlying farms around the community, and his internal organization earned him the respect of the other nobles, and ultimately a place at the head of the council.
Aenry often comes into conflict with the town's judge and priest, Marta Iathrana, whom he sees as too lenient with the law and too permissive with the administration of the faithful. Many whispers that he envies her popularity and the ease at which she engages and endears herself to the townspeople, particularly as she is a full-blooded elf who's parents, perhaps better adjusted to their new lives on Aramanth, were better able to acclimate her to the society they now found themselves in.
Head of the Noble's Council in Caracara, this quiet, emotionally remote half-elf spends his time working to ensure the prosperity of the town, preferably with as little interaction with its people as possible.
