Deep Time

Deep Time is a reference to the vast era of time in which the collective set of beings known as the Ancients existed. It's precise beginning and ending is not exact, but it is estimated to have been a period lasting tens or even hundreds of millions of years and ran up until at least ten million years ago. The magic, machines, and technology left over from that era has yet to be even remotely understood by modern scholars, and often what progress is made is just as easily lost in the rising and falling of societies in the modern era.
