Humans

Since they arrived on Aramanth over 10,000 years ago, humans have spread far and wide across Aramanth. Despite the dangers, humanity used their lore and their machines to carve out an existence upon the world. They would make war, make peace, and, over millenia, build an empire that spread over the majority of the earth's surface.    But time breaks down everything, and despite their resistance, some things cannot be held on to forever. Machines deteriorate. Books crumble. Knowledge fades. Much of what humanity is now exist on the backbone of machines they barely understand, operating through ritual and vagueries. They grasp for the scraps of understanding they once had, upon a world where their understanding falls lost among the detritus of civilizations millions of years older and more advanced. Void Ship Engines lay broken among Temporal Gates. Factories rust around the ancient bones of creatures three times the building's size. To the modern people of Aramanth, both are as mysterious, and both are equally out of their reach in terms of understanding.   Still, those exist who hold stand as islands of understanding in a sea of ignorance. Kings and emperors, scholars and magisters, cults and cabals, all gather to themselves as much as they can what was lost. They piece together what they are able, and, very occasionally, create something new.    Despite the widespread ignorance, humans make use of the tools and devices they've grown up around and found safe, whether it be old wood-cutting machines their ancestors designed millennia ago or strange teleporting mirrors formed by unfathomable beings in time beyond imagining, both are equally understood and equally used.      There is no general set of traits that fits humanity, even in a general sense. The ancient void ship that crashed on Aramanth left stranded a diverse array of their kind, and they have only mixed among themselves more deeply sense. That said, skin tone does tend towards olive to tawny, and hair and eyes tend towards darker hues.
