Larva

A larva is a miserable fiend that retains the facial features of its previous form but its body is thick viscous slag, taking an agonizing amount of effort to form basic words or limbs. A larva has only a few faint memories of its previous life.
Larva is the lowest form of a fiend and is often consumed in dark rituals, trade agreements, or simply food for powerful fiends.

They feed off the energy of those around them, so larva are often kept in large pools or pens. The strongest are able to feed off the weak and eventually evolve into a fiend of greater standing, likely an Imp.
