Beirik Arond
Ser Beirik Arond is a knight, the most senior of the knights that currently serve in Boldern Tower. He is also the personal guard of Jass Caleil and his most trusted confidante, having served him faithfully for decades.
Beirik is a quiet and humble fellow, though respected by all at the Tower. They say that he is not only an honorable and distinguished knight by day, but that he is quiet and graceful as a cat when he dons a black cloak to perform missions in the night given him by Lord Jass.
Beirik has a small plot of land with a manse and his own servants down in Paddlestone, as a gift from Lord Jass to him and his lady wife, Elina. Nonetheless, Beirik seems to spend all of his time at the tower, and Lord Jass trusts no one else to be his personal guard.

About him (Orisan Caleil): "My father trusts and respects him more than all of his children combined. Personally though, the man's a curse. I couldn't steal a damn cookie from the kitchens without Ser Beirik somehow spotting it and throwing me in front of father for a good humiliation. He's not immune to aging, though, and one day I'll slip past him."
