Disaster / Destruction
The number 4 train seemingly derails in the Tunnels killing everyone on board. Leads to the discovery of Dust and the first instance of an Ordo 4 Memoria intra objectum
In the early days of the train's operation, safety measures were not as stringent as they are now, and the true dangers posed by the enigmatic Dust to both train and passengers were not yet fully understood. One fateful morning during a crowded rush, the number 4 train was hurtling through the tunnels of the Third Ring with a full load of passengers. Suddenly, an astonishing sight materialized before them—a well-dressed, eight-foot-tall rabbit with a pocket watch, relentlessly pursuing a girl in a hauntingly blue dress. With terrifying swiftness, the rabbit and girl found themselves directly in the train's path. The driver's desperate efforts proved futile as the train collided with the bizarre entities. What followed was an indescribable horror that defied explanation. The passengers' bodies began to merge with the train itself, their limbs and organs becoming one with the very structure of the locomotive. Instead of death, they found themselves trapped in a grotesque and nightmarish gestalt entity—a living, twisted amalgamation of person and train. Their individual identities blurred, and the distinction between passenger and carriage vanished. They were now an abominable, living train. As the horrific entity continued its mad journey, the inevitable disaster struck—the train derailed, engulfed in a massive fireball, and the tunnel itself collapsed at the impact site. The horror seemed to vanish, leaving only grim rumors and fear in its wake. When authorities finally managed to clear the tunnel and inspect the aftermath, they found no trace of the train or its passengers at first. But the nightmare was far from over. The Memoria emerged like an unending torment, replaying the ghastly events repeatedly, pulling unfortunate souls into its relentless cycle of agony. Those who ventured too close to the spectral train were unwittingly absorbed into the monstrous entity, merging with the haunting memory and eventually becoming one with the dark tale. With the situation spiraling out of control, the Collegiate Arcanum was called in to investigate this haunting phenomenon. It was then that the Dust, previously overlooked, became a focus of attention, and measures were set in motion to eradicate its haunting influence. The scholars speculated that, without the Dust's augmentation, the Memoria should eventually settle down, leaving behind nothing more than a haunting memory. But the chilling legacy of the number 4 train would forever haunt the tunnels of the Second Ring, leaving behind the indelible mark of terror and tragedy.
