Tree Blights
In some areas of the World Forest the magic of the forests can accumulate around the branches, twigs and other vegetation to such an extent that it will become filled with animus and come alive. Pulling themsleves from the trees and plants, this animated matter are known as Tree Blights.
Each of these creatures is a unique amalgam of brings, branches and vines, held together by magic and seemingly only interest in protecting areas of the forest that they become attached to. Unless someone tries to enter their protectorate or attack them, Blights will usually leave everyone else along, busying themselves with their work in keeping the area as they like it.
Three types of Blight are known by most who spend any time in the forest; the most numerous are the diminutive, and weakest, Twig Blights, larger are the human-sized Needle Blights, who are covered in thick, sharp spines and barbs that they can launch out at will. The toughest of the commonly seen Blights are the Vine Blights, made up of a mass of slithering vines and creeping roots.
