Core Embassy
The Core Embassy is a building on the shore of Infinite Depths, the lake at the base of The Core of Arbressian. It was built in year 1532 of the Age of Parting after a centuries old conflict of who should own the area around the Core was finally settled. An agreement was made that no country should own the land surrounding it within the perimeter made by the twelve cities a few miles out from the Core.
A permanent teleportation circle is set in a room in the middle of the embassy for instant transport. Most countries have a linked circle somewhere for easier access, but they will still have to have other means of returning home.
The Core Embassy has accommodations for ambassadors and their retinues but no one lives there on a permanent basis. Next to the embassy sits a small mansion which is the home of the Core Keeper. The Core Keeper is sworn to protect the Embassy and a small perimeter around it for the safety and comfort of anyone visiting these holy grounds.
Any bloodshed between sentient species is forbidden in and around the embassy and breaking this rule will have dire consequences - accidents being excluded from this law.
Purpose / Function
The Core Embassy was built as a neutral ground meeting place for people in high positions in the countries of Arbressian, as well as a means for them to reach the location quickly.
Defenses
There are magical wards and other protections in place to keep the Core Embassy safe, and anyone with permission to be there will know how to deactivate them. The Core Keeper can also allow others to enter without harm if they deem them trustworthy.
