Chloe was panicked when Bell responded to one of her Sending spells that he had been taken by someone and was being transported while blindfolded.

It was a harrowing journey. Perhaps not physically but definitely emotionally. On the way they bumped into two of the girls that Bell was bringing with him from Sandholm - Bonny Saw and Promise. They found Bell and Kira Masters in a mansion which was oddly pristine in an otherwise dilapidated village on the edge of a swamp.   Bell and Kira had been taken by jackalweres and then charmed by a lamia but the group killed the jackalweres, the lamia and two manticores to free them.   Aon found a book with some information about runechildren and a broom of flying.
