Aziza asked the group for help. Someone had stolen the troupe’s funds and she didn’t want to ask the city guards for help. The troupe’s newest addition, a writer who had only just been hired in Wadesten, was the first suspect. However, the group found her and the rest of her family tied up in their apartment. After talking to her, they realised that the true culprits were the troupe’s two strongmen/bodyguards. It took some further investigation until they found them and killed them, leaving them in the street where they fell. After that, the group had to go on a bit of a trek outside of the city again to find the chest containing the troupe’s funds and returned them to Aziza who was very grateful and paid them for a job well done. However, killing two people and leaving them on a street for anyone to stumble over wouldn’t be entirely without consequence. Not long after, they were stopped by guards on the streets and asked to follow them to the garrison to meet the captain who’d like a word with them. That was how they first met Godfrey Vandran who gave them a lecture on not leaving bodies on the streets and if they hadn’t had witnesses who saw the other two attacking them first, making it self defence, they could have been in a lot more trouble. If it ever happened again they should alert the guards immediately after. Chloe really didn’t like being lectured by the captain of the guards and yelled at him quite a bit.
