After a suggestion that Kira had made the previous day about asking a god for help with the book that led to her having some kind of parasite altering her brain, Sonata went to Wadesten to pray at the temple of Sarenrae there at dawn. Rona helped her set up a nice ritual space to pray but when she failed to get a distinct answer, Rona offered to take Sonata directly to Sarenrae. Sonata was unsure and went back to Sandholm to ask her friends what they thought. In the end it was decided that Sonata, Aon and Noa would go and Chloe was going to stay at home with her babies as she hadn't felt good about leaving them for longer periods of time. The trio made their way back to the temple in Wadesten, making each other more and more nervous about meeting an actual god. Except Aon who had already met Celestian and now apparently didn't think that meeting gods was a big deal.

In the temple they found Rona, dressed in more pristine vestments and her usual simple braid was now put up in a bun. She asked them all to hold hands in a ring and after making sure they were ready, cast plane shift, transporting them to Sarenrae's home plane. It was a gorgeous endless garden, both with pruned areas and areas where the plants were allowed to grow wild and untended. They could see humanoid figures in the corners of their eyes but when they looked directly at them there was nothing there. Despite this all they could feel was a sense of comfort and warmth.   Rona led the way to a huge mansion with pastel yellow walls and decorated with gold and white marble. Large angels with perfect bronze skin and white wings stood guard at the huge double doors leading into the mansion but after looking the group over, the angels let them inside. The entrance hall was grand and made out of white marble with gold veins running through, and even though stone is normally cold it felt just as warm and comforting as everything else in the plane. They walked to another set of double doors at the end of the hallway, guarded by more angels, and Rona asked for an audience with Sarenrae. Her request was immediately granted and they were let inside a throne room where the back wall was all windows, letting the light through. Sarenrae, with warm golden dark brown skin, shining long blonde hair in an ombré ending in bright orange, and huge white wings sprouting from her back was every bit the radiant goddess that was promised by her followers.   Sonata managed to speak to Sarenrae and explained about the book. Sarenrae took the book and said that she would speak to her friends about what to do with it before letting go of the book and it disappeared. She also placed her hand on Sonata's head and revealed that Sonata had had an egg of the same kind of parasite creature in her. Noa asked if he had one too but Sarenrae told him that he was fine. After a bit more of conversation, Sarenrae said that there was someone outside who wanted to meet Aon and Noa.   They said their goodbyes to the goddess, Rona being asked to stay behind for a bit, and headed back outside. There stood a girl around ten years old with dark tan skin, long black hair and pale green eyes. She ran to the twins, exclaiming "Emrys, Zephyr!" those being their given names when they were born. This was Elina, their older sister who had died in the fire while saving Aon's life. They got to spend the day with her and she showed them some of her favourite places in the garden and they played a bit. She promised that she was happy and they shouldn't be sad about her. Aon said that he wanted to try to bring her back to life and asked if she wanted that and she said that she didn't know, that he should decide. She also gave them a message to tell their parents.   Finally Aon, Noa, Sonata and Rona had to sleep and they could hear Elina humming a lullaby to them as they fell asleep in the eternal light of Sarenrae's gardens. The next morning they couldn't see Elina anymore and they headed back home to the Material Plane. Aon, Noa and Sonata headed to Godfrey and Astraea's house, telling them about their meeting with Elina. Surprisingly it was Astraea who completely broke down while Godfrey cried a bit but managed to hold more of a conversation. Finally Astraea managed to thank them before they left and she and Godfrey waved goodbye from the doorstep.
