Bai Sen

The 'elected' leader of the people of Saricho, in the Esteban Desert, Bai Sen was a middle-aged albino woman who ruled through fear and brainwashing. She maintained that the outside world was dangerous, and that the sea would eventually return to the desert, pushing their boats back out, and providing food and resources. Her people were complacent and honoured her as their absolute leader. She had effectively prevented learning in her village, and took the villagers' books and parchments, keeping them behind her makeshift throne inside the largest boat in Saricho.
Bai Sen was not welcoming of strangers, giving off an air of coldness, and maintaining a constant smile that never quite reached her eyes. Her appearance was disarming to some, as her hair was closely cropped, her eyebrows shaven, and her eyes bright blue. Like the rest of the residents of Saricho, she wore a white robe and leather coverings on her feet.
Bai Sen worshipped the Androsphinx, Kasim.
After the party's discovery of Toko and Bai Sen's secret, namely that the villagers had all died years ago, and they were the only living souls in Saricho. When the party's necromancy book, stolen from The Twitch, informed them that for the souls of the villagers to find peace, Toko and Bai Sen would have to die, Bai Sen accepted her fate. She was poisoned and slain.
