Saricho

Saricho is a small village in the middle of the Esteban Desert, in Montevillo. With a population of approximately 30 people, it is a very small village with no regional renown. All citizens of Saricho have either familial or otherwise links with its leader, Bai Sen, who reigns through the cultivation of fear of the outside world. Bai Sen strongly suggests that Saricho's inhabitants do not read books, travel, or do any activities that may cause them harm. Thus, the population of Saricho is essentially brainwashed. According to the teachings of Bai Sen, the villagers believe that eventually the ocean will come to them and sweep them out to sea. Due to this unconditional faith, the villagers have become complacent, very few hunt or grow crops, and supplies are very low.   Instead of the sandstone and limestone structures of desert homes, Saricho consists only of a small fleet of seven or eight boats, varying in size. The largest sits in the middle of the village and is home to Bai Sen. The others provide housing and places of work for the rest of the inhabitants.   Some of Saricho's prominent figures include Bai Sen, a middle aged albino woman; Shin, a young hunter and advisor of Bai Sen; and Grandpa Toko, the seemingly incompetent village leader. The party has reason to believe that the villagers were once crew-mates or something of the like, and that they are likely from a coastal region of Illorin.
