Session 16: The Six Sisters

General Summary

Following the battle of last session, the group gathered Sebastian’s head and fled. They then attempted to locate Kallodark to inform him that they had apparently succeeded their task and collect their reward. On the way, they noticed that the moon was a blood red colour.
Returning to the spot where the tower of tricks previously was, the party instead found a large gold monument, with engraved eyes around the base, similar but not identical, to the eyes found as a symbol of the King and Queen. The party had difficulty getting in, but eventually Ekxus picked the lock.
Upon entering the building, the interior seemed larger than the outside. Glowing plants grew up the walls, in various colours. Nydyr picked one, and was immediately affected by a strange glowing force, as colours crept up his arm in a variety of patterns. Up the walls of the building was a spiral staircase, from which a middle-aged elven woman appeared. Kind but distant, the woman introduced herself as Xabro. The party explained that they were looking for Kallodark, and Xabro expressed that she vaguely knows him. Aries and Xabro had a brief theological argument.
Ekxus was given a dusty green potion by Xabro and fell asleep. In her dream, she dreamt of six thrones, five containing mysterious figures, and one empty. Upon awakening, Ekxus found herself again in an unfamiliar place; the Santa Bellesian docks. At the docks, Ekxus searched for Kallodark to no avail. Instead, she found Moses on a midnight walk and retold much of their afternoon to him. They returned to Xabro’s monument.
Xabro exposed, indirectly, that she is a god, though her own strange nature doesn’t allow belief in gods. She also believes that everything is possible and exists somewhere in the metaverse. After several question primarily raised by Moses, she told the party of the Old Gods, Six Sisters who once held domain over the material world. Though Obrax has a good relationship with most of her sisters, including Lioth, Mudax, Ither, and Seren, she expressed that she has had a tenuous relationship with Scaros; the goddess of war and trickery, and that said sister is often present in the material realm. The party speculated about the implications of this.
The gang returned to Moses’ apartment on the outskirts of town. They ate and drank, while Silvia Bolivar slept in Moses’ bed. During the meal, Balasar and Aries had an argument about their gods. This disagreement led to a small fracturing of the party, who soon after, fell asleep.
As Ekxus fell asleep, she experienced another dream, in which she witnessed a line of similar-looking figures, led by Kallodark. She was strangely compelled to join them. As she woke up, she met Kallodark below the balcony. She told him of their success with the mission, and he believed her. In a dramatic change of events, Kallodark explained that he was the son of Obrax, and that Ekxus was indeed his sister. Kallodark awarded her 70 gold per person, and they embraced.
In the morning, the party made their way to the downtown district of Santa Bella and met a shifty-looking young man who dealt in dinosaurs shipped from Qirek. Excited, the party bought four winged dinosaurs; a purple and gold one, a royal blue one, a green speckled one, and a black one.
On the backs of their dinosaurs, the group finally escaped from the torments of Santa Bella.
