Kaldar's desire to conquer the lands of Kiadin had long been clear, but the beginning of a twenty-year campaign of conquest came subtly- Kaldar began to force large trades, both in resources and territories, on the Dwarven kingdoms. Soon, the Kaldar Imperium was in control of the economy in a vast portion of Kiadin, but were surprised to find massive resistance as the motives of Kaldar's forces became clear, the long-running diplomatic campaign coming to a brutal end in the Battle of the Keystone Valley.
Amemnon Kaldar's campaign across the world was gaining speed and ferocity. His forces had taken over all of Valdur, much of Taurin and was beginning to take Tsiro, Diskar and it's sister islands. The Dwarven kingdoms of Kiadin had long been wary of Kaldar's plans, and were slowly and quietly preparing for conflict as the centuries passed. They feared that the Kaldar Imperium would grow too strong, and it was causing a general unrest within the Dwarven population. But Amemnon knew better than to attack the Dwarves. He instead began a series of innocent resource trades, which slowly snowballed into massive trades. Small Dwarven towns couldn't resist the trades and soon their output was controlled by this trading. Amemnon formed alliances with many smaller Dwarven clans across Kiadin, and the larger clans became ever more uneasy. The larger clans began to push back Amemnon, refusing offers of allegiance and trade that seemed incessant. They urged smaller clans to do so, and soon they did, Amemnon's efforts to create an allegiance crumbling. It was clear that it was no alliance for the benefit of both sides- he wanted to take the Dwarven clans and absorb them into his Imperium. Soon, Amemnon was watching his power fade from Kiadin, and his patience seemed to dwindle. This campaign came to an astonishingly violent end with the Battle of the Keystone Valley in 56,825, which Kaldar forces lost, spelling the end to Amemnon's efforts of conquest in Kiadin.
