Mechanics & Inner Workings

The blade works by having the large dark steel blade, edged with bloodstones invert the effects of bindings, due to a reversing rune being carved on the crimson pommel of the leatherbound steel hilt. Hence, this claymore looking weapon was not made for war and carnage, but to break the Throne of Dominance and set a stop to the Demon Sire's machinations.

History

Having crafted the Dominion Sceptre, the Devil Karrnargh was approached by one of his brothers. The Arch-Devil Korzorian who scolded the younger infernal for his failure. To hand such a chaoticly powerfull relic into the hand of a mortal, let alone other devils or even gods was a crime towards the universe itself. The soul being a sacred thing even among the hells, and not a plaything to be abused as some see fit.
To make up for his crimes, Karrnargh forged another blade in secrecy. It's steel red as a bloodstain, with black ashen edges. Runic script of counter-domination effects, able to sever the links of shackles, chains and bloodstones
The blade only had one crack at the Demon Sire though, as one of the strongest champions of hell rode down to challenge the man, but was left sent back without his head and without the blade, which was now in the man's own hands.

Significance

Though the blade helped to conquer all of Diestria and bring it's once wartorn nations into a vast golden age, the relic is still seen as monsterous in the current times. A weapon, forged by the devils to stop humanity from achieving peace is what some call it, others believe the turmoil that brews underneath a pretty surface would have been avoided, had the Demon Sire been cut down and his conquests stopped.
