Old Âzhgaard
Geography
The city of Old Âzhgaard lies on a manmade formation of two half moons, where the larger of the two craddle around the smaller inner circle. Around the formations, a still body of water stretches around the the stone and dirt platforms and reach out into the vast oceans. The center middle of the moons also carry a miniscule handcrafted isle, formed by a stone platform which holds the city's castle. The Royal Docks
The most prominent feature of the old ruins city is the walled docks. Once, a beautiful marbel like wall stretched from the entire outer half moon, with a massive walkway wide enough to parade six warhorses side by side safely across. The lower part of the wall were filled with cannons and harpoon guns, to fend of plausible invaders. The upper levels instead carried the barracks, with small firing slots and various handmade waterfalls pouring into the basin underneath. Nowadays water erosion have cracked several parts in the whitewashed paint and the toll of war has splintered and even removed entire segments of the wall due to damage from rifles and warmachines. Though a good portion of it's glorious past still stand firm, having been repurposed back into it's original function by the city reclaimers. The docks themselves consist of various grayed ruins from various different human cultures, that have been weathered both by war and time. Though at the centermost core of this inner half moon, a few new built docks and some restored buildings can be seen as a new city is comming to life within the rubble.Icen Castle
Within the middle of the lake, a once pure white castle can be seen in it's grayed ashen colours. Only half of the ruins physically stand above the waters, while the rest of the tower is held floating above the ground, linked to it's base through magical chains that intertwine the two pieces with one another. At the top of the towerlike castle, the shape starts to twirl into a crowned shape, where cracked windows reveal an empty room with naugth but a vacant throne inside.History
Once, Icengate used to be the the safe harbour fpr northsent exiles. It's trio of mountainranges outside the city, combined with the warm shorelines kept the people relatively sheltered from elements that could harm them. When they encountered the Scarn, the villages soon turned into a bustling tradehub for various races and ethnical groups that peacefully passed by, while hostile elements were demolished by the trained and top gear armed Icenguard. Through the years, the city swiftly grew into a superpower of wealth, which stood outside of the political games and ongoing civil wars within the rest of the human world. Rather, as exiles they had no loyality to none but their own and freely traded weapons to all factions. Ceasing only their dealings as the elven realm attacked the realm of man, where they took up arms themselves to fight the elves. Though their first war was a massive victory, the second to come did not bode well for the Empire. Having had their King assassinated by a Dyskhar Bladesister, the leadership crumbled once the Dyskhari Empire and it's abyssal spawn overlords attacked. Though the city was sacked and parts of it destroyed, it was later reclaimed by a unity between Draugr, The Goremaws, Exile rebels and Scarn as a proclaimation of the rebirth of the Âzhgaardian Empire.
