Harmonic Disruptors

A now lost technology crafted by the Anteceans to wage war against the very heavens. For reasons that were lost along with Antecea and generally chalked up to more legend than facts, the Anteceans set out to overthrow their old gods by force.
To achieve this lofty goal, they developed weapons that could traverse the distance between a celestial's corporeal avatar and their true essence that remained in their domains of the Upper Planes.
In this way, they could truly strike down and slay their gods, at least insofar as an immortal being could be slain.
For better or worse, these weapons had all but disappeared even by the time of The Wizards of Wonder and the War for the Eye. The plucky band of adventurers was able to find one of the last known surviving disruptors, but the weapon was destroyed in their battle with Cataclysm. None have survived into the modern age, sadly making them unavailable for use in this new struggle against the Fundamental Avatar of Destruction.
