The Antecean Empire

For better or worse, the Antecean Empire has left a lasting impression and a lofty shadow over all of Archaios. Even a millennia after its decline, the kingdoms of men still use them as the gold standard; the shining, idealized beacon with which to guide the growth of their own civilization.

To this day, no one has come close to achieving that level. Maybe it's because the idea of Antecea has become so deified and revered that no mere mortal could ever hope to compare. Or maybe they were just that good.
